Marwan Koukash press conference speech

So here are the key points from Dr Marwan Koukashs press conference this morning addressing the decition taken by the RFL to charge Salford with Salary cap issues from 2014/2015.

'"Last week I was made aware that the club would be charged on Thursday. I pleaded with the RFL to not release any info before the game.

'We had a group of young boys that were about to play a huge game on Thursday night and I wanted to protect them.'

'We have a Salfordian mentality here, we will stick together and we will get through this together.'

'Salford have been treated unfairly throughout the last three years too.'

'It's frustrating that we've got it right on the field and then we get this now. It could have already been dealt with.'

'I'm fully committed to the group of boys and the staff we have here so that's why I wouldn't walk out.'

I will take this case to the highest court in order to protect our players, our club and our fans.'

'All I'm asking for is a fair process in dealing with this and stop trying to make an example out of us.'

'I was given a choice of dates to choose from for the hearing. We've been shown charges but with no evidence.'

'I sincerely hope the RFL will look at the charges presented and give us a fair hearing. '

'To make it as open and fair as possible I'm asking for members of the public and journalists to be allowed to be present at the hearing

'We are way below the salary cap, we have a team that are playing a very attractive game of RL.'

'It would be nice if the RFL could make a statement that says the charges have nothing to do with the current squad/season.'

'I'm enjoying watching a group of players playing for the shirt and not for the money.'

'It's frustrating that we've got it right on the field and then we get this now. It could have already been dealt with.'

'Salford have been treated unfairly throughout the last three years too.'

So Marwan has come out strongly in defensive of Salford with some strong language aimed at the RFL I'm sure the tribunal when held will be a tasty affair.

Tune in to the podcast tonight for all the reaction from the boys
