SUPER LEAGUE REVIEW

 

It's been a exciting week in Super league read about all the weekends action here.

 

Wigan Warriors 10 Castleford 27

Castleford Tigers recorded a impressive away victory against Wigan Warriors on Thursday night.
Castleford stared well and with Tries from Luke Gale and Jake Webster engineered a 14-4 half time lead.

Morgan Escare scored to give Wigan hope but Greg Eden scored at the death for Castleford to secure the win.

 

Leigh 26 Catalan 37

Catalan got back to winning ways with away win at newly promoted Leigh.

Indiscipline by Leigh caused the Dragons to build up a lead with Tries from ex Reds Ian Thorney and Richie Myler and Luke Walsh converted all the tries

Leigh fought back in the 2nd half with tries from Tries from Curtis Naughton and Dyne Weston but the Dragon hung on secure the win.

Wakefield 30 Widnes 4

 

Wakefield beat Widnes in a hard fought game on Friday night.Corey Thompson for Widnes , Bill Tipou and Tom Johnson scored Tries to give Wakefield lead 12-4 at half time.

2nd half was all Wakefield with tries from Craig Huby and Scott Griz secured the win for Trinity.

St Helens 14 Huddersfield 14

 

Huddersfield came from behind to tie the game in a pulsating encounter.

Ex Red Theo Fages opened the scoring for Saints but they were unable to record the win.

Sam Wood scored for Huddersfield but Danny Brough was unable to convert which resulted in a tie.

 

Warrington 25 Leeds Rhinos 14

Warrington recorded their 1st win of 2017 with a impressive display against Leeds.

Leeds lead but Ryan Atkins scored twice to give Wire a 12-4 lead at half time.
Ex Red Joel Moon gave Leeds hope but Declan Patton secured the victory for the Wolves.
 
Hull FC 18 Salford 54

Salford recorded a impressive away win at Huddersfield to keep their good form going.
Shaun Michaels scored for Hull but Salford hit back with 7 tries with Rob Lui, Greg Johnson and Craig Kopczak among the scorers.

Hull scored twice early in the 2nd half with Jamie Shaul but Salford ran away with it with Ben Murdoch Masila taking Salford over the 50 points.

A great win for Salford and Ian Watson will live long in the memory.
